wheel |
 |
This
device was originally used by doctors to test nerve responses, but with
the ingenuity typical of the BDSM fratenity it has been pressed into use
to make submissives squirm with delight. It consists of a metal handle
with a free-spinning, metal pinwheel attached to one end. The 'pins' are
generally sharp enough to feel 'prickly' but aren't intended to break the
skin. Holding the handle in your hand you roll the wheel over a person's
skin, creating the sensation of countless tiny pinpricks. |

Play ( Wax Torture ) |
 |
Playing
with hot wax can be exciting but painful if you don't do it right. Start
off by using plain white paraffin candles because the colouring and dyes
in some candles can raise the melting point of the candle-wax to a point
where it becomes uncomfortably hot. Avoid beeswax candles, which also have
a high melting point and can burn skin. Generally soft candles have a lower
melting point and are safer. Test the temperature on your own skin first.

| Weights |
 |
The
inventiveness of BDSM'ers never fails to amaze me. As if attaching clamps
to your submissives pretty pink parts wasn't excruciatingly painful enough,
some people go even further by then adding weights to the clamps to further
increase the torture. Weights can be either custom made or improvised,
for example the lead weights used for fishing. Basically anything that
can be attached to a clamp will work. We're dealing with very delicate
areas here so be careful or you could do some damage. Start small and slow,
gradually building time and weight if required. |

| Whipping |
The
subject of whips and whipping is so big that I couldn't possibly do it
justice here, so just a very brief note. Broadly there are two main groups
of whips. The first includes all single-thonged whips, such as blacksnake
whips, buggy whips, and bullwhips. They range in size from
around 3 -12 feet. All will produce an intense burning sensation while
the larger ones, if used injudiciously, can cut skin like a knife. Most
larger whips are difficult to control and can cause accidental injuries
to the submissives eyes or ears, or even to the person using the whip.
Definitely not for the inexperienced. The second main group is the multi-thonged
whips, which includes a wide range of interesting implements like the cat
'o' nine tails, two-tailed quirts, and other softer 'floggers'. The
results you get depend on the implement you use, your skill, and your intent.
As originally used in the British navy the cat 'o' nine tails, with its
flexible thongs weighted with lead, could strip a mans skin to the
bone and kill. On the other hand, a gentle flogging using a flogger with
soft deerskin thongs, is more likely to cause delight than damage. Single-thonged
whips cause very localised and often intensely painful welts while with
multi-thonged whips the sensation is spread over a wider area and is usually
less severe. Unless you are skilled enough to make the whips yourself,
buy them from a reputable adult toystore which specialises
in and understands the requirements of BDSM play . Many adult toy stores
don't. |
